It’s designed with multiple rows and columns to give you extensive details on your expense budget. Aside from your expenses, your income and savings are also recorded in this template. Thus, you can always check how much you earn, spend, and save during a certain period.

This weekly budget template features various sections. The topmost part includes sections for the week start date, weekly columns (Week 1 - Week 6), total income, total expenses, and NET income. A separate table is provided underneath that to cover columns for the source of income, savings, and expenses. For the expenses, it’s classified into the following expense areas – home, transportation, daily living, entertainment, health, and vacation/holiday. In addition, a section for the weekly expenses is highlighted at the lowermost part of this template to give you details on how much you are spending on a specific week.

The excel budget template is the perfect version to use as it’s designed with formulas, so you don't need to perform any manual calculations. By using this template, you can save time while tracking your expenses. You can also edit any of the labels/headings featured to suit your needs. To use this budget worksheet, refer to the following instructions:

Instructions in using the Budget Template:

  1. Enter week start date. Once start date is entered, the columns with the label Week 1 to Week 6 should automatically display the week's start dates.

  2. Enter income. Enter the amount of your income under the category that’s applicable to you. Example: if your salary/wage is your source of income, enter that amount on the same row as salary/wage.

  3. Enter savings if there’s any.

  4. Enter amounts of expenses under expense areas applicable to you. Each expense area has a sample list of expenses, so you can enter the amount of expenses on areas that are applicable to you. Once these figures are entered, sections for weekly total and weekly expenses should autogenerate calculations.

Each expense area has its respective weekly total section, however, if you want to look at the overall weekly expenses, it’s highlighted at the uppermost (under total expenses) and lowermost (under weekly expenses) parts of the template.

You can also edit the list of expenses featured in this template to suit your needs. Additionally, areas/sections you don’t need can either be left blank or deleted.

  1. Review your weekly expense budget summary. The summary for your weekly expense budget should be displayed at the topmost part of this template. It should cover the following sections:
  • Total Income – displays your total income
  • Total Expenses – displays your overall weekly expenses
  • NET Income – displays the difference between your total income and total expenses. It should be noted that if your NET Income is displayed in red, it means there’s a shortage in your budget.
