Employee Assigned Asset Tracking Template in Excel can be used to keep records of all company assets or items assigned to your employees or staffs. This equipment tracking spreadsheet is designed to cover many employees that were assigned specific office items. If you wanted to track all office assets assigned to your employees in a single file, this template is perfect for you. All records are kept on the same template which makes it easier for tracking which assets/items are assigned to a specific employee.

This asset tracking spreadsheet is easy to use and can be downloaded for free. To complete, just fill out the following fields/columns:

  • Employee Name

  • Employee ID

  • Department - specific department where the employee belonged to

  • Assigned Items/Equipment - refers to the specific items or equipment assigned to the employee, e.g., laptop, desktop computer, printer, etc.

  • Description - refers to the description of the office items assigned to each employee

  • Authorized for Home Business Use - determines if employee was authorized to bring home the assigned office items for work purposes. You can enter Yes/No under this column.

  • Received By Employee (Initials) - this is the section where employees can attach their signatures/initials once they received the assigned office items

  • Date Received - specific date when the items are received by the employee

  • Returned to Department Rep. (Initials) - this is the section where department personnel who received the returned office items can attach their signatures/initials

  • Date Returned - specific date when the items are returned to the office

  • Notes - the section where important notes/reminders can be jotted down
